Karen Blair Jailer The Scott County Jail is an 8 person detention facility built in 1950. The Jail holds both male and female prisoners for Scott, Wichita, and Greeley counties. Over the past several years overcrowding has become a problem with the jail sometimes housing up to sixteen prisoners. In 1999 the average prisoner county was 9.1 prisoners a day, in 2000 that jumped to 11.3 prisoners per day, and in 2001 we are expecting the total to be over 12 per day on average.
